The last time Chris Wright stood in the kitchen at 143 Stone St, Wanaka it was the start of a slightly crazy journey to winning New Zealand My Kitchen Rules last year.
Now Chris is back in the stunning period-style home as a sales consultant bringing the property to market.
Chris, who works as a real estate sales consultant for Harcourts in Wanaka, says he knows first-hand just how perfect the home is for entertaining, with its multiple living and dining area, and of course that kitchen where the seeds for MKR victory were sewn.
Chris came to cook at Stone Street, when the production company behind MKR needed a home with a great kitchen and entertainment area, suitable for filming, to shoot Chris’ episode.
“We heard about it through a friend of a friend who had enjoyed many a dinner party hosted by the current owner and vendor, Steve Stokes.
“It’s such a stunning property, it was the perfect location for our instant restaurant on the show.”
With two-levels of space and atmosphere for entertaining as well as expansive gardens, the four-bedroom, home enjoys expansive views of Lake Wanaka, and is a short stroll from the lakefront and the town centre.
The property is sturdily constructed with 150mm thick concrete walls and is known locally as “The Castle”.
Chris says the property would make a great investment for anybody wanting an elegant home in an awe-inspiring location. “It could also make for a very a distinctive holiday home.”
Chris says he is thrilled to be able to market a property he had such a great experience in a year ago. “It’s great to be able to share this incredible property with others, and help it find the perfect new owners.”
As for Chris, he still does plenty of cooking but is just as fond of finding the perfect recipe of potential buyers and dream homes.
143 Stone St, Wanaka is due to be sold 19 April 2018 by deadline treaty, unless sold prior.
