Auction achieves outstanding result in Havelock North

22-Dec-2021 13:06:05

After just a three week auction campaign, this 1980s single-level brick home in Havelock North sold for a phenomenal price of $1,490,000 - 96% above the August 2019 Capital Value.

The multi-channel marketing campaign created by Harcourts Havelock North sales consultant Georgie Taylor had all the ingredients for success: a Gold Marketing Showcase, 3D walkthrough and floorplans, listings on multiple websites, and digital advertising through social media and Google Ads.

The campaign generated high interest in the property resulting in thousands of online views and multiple physical inspections. There were 22 bids made at the auction which saw 8 registered bidders vying for the property on the day.

For those who are new to the process of selling at auction it can appear daunting, but don’t be put off - there are many advantages to selling at auction.

As a seller, an auction offers you the opportunity to achieve the best price in the marketplace by attracting buyers that are ready to purchase on the day.

Auctions also allow buyers to determine the value of the property rather than relying on a sales consultant or a valuer, which can potentially result in a price that is too low and leaves money on the table, or too high and the property remains on the market for an extended period of time.

Auctions continue to outperform other methods of sale which is why selling at auction has become so popular.
