Harcourts NZ has once again excelled at the 2021 REINZ Awards for Excellence, clinching seven awards including top residential salesperson, best small and medium agency and top residential property manager in a year filled with challenge.

The awards – presented for the first time as a virtual event from Hamilton due to Auckland being in Level 4 lockdown – have seen an even spread throughout Harcourts’ network, with managing director Bryan Thomson saying they are testament to the resilience and support of the entire company in a year challenged by the Covid19 pandemic.

Christchurch residential salesperson Cameron Bailey of Harcourts Gold Real Estate in Papanui secured the top residential salesperson of the year, with Yvenna Yue of Harcourts Hamilton Central City owned by Monarch Real Estate taking the residential salesperson of the year – volume.

Harcourts Christchurch offices did well in residential property management, with Jen Neil of Harcourts Grenadier Accommodation Centre taking the residential property manager of the year award and Ngaire Baker of Harcourts Gold Property Management securing the residential property management business development manager award.

Harcourts Cooper & Co on Auckland’s North Shore edged out the competition to win medium agency of the year – all disciplines, and Harcourts Henderson Heights owned by Blue Fern Realty in Auckland won small residential office of the year. Small agency of the year – all disciplines went to Harcourts Gold Real Estate in Christchurch.

“We are extremely proud of our achievements this year, given the challenges that New Zealand has faced during the pandemic,” Mr Thomson says. “Our motto at Harcourts is ‘people first’, and our people have ensured that our clients have received the best service possible – be they sellers, buyers, landlords or tenants.

“It is also very satisfying to know that during our various lockdowns, our offices may have been closed but our people didn’t stop working. They’ve taken time to plan and upskill, particularly in new technology and advances that will be sure to mean we are featured as strongly in next year’s awards.

“Thank you to REINZ for continuing with the awards ceremony in very trying circumstances, and to sponsors, Skills and ABC Photosigns.”
