Totara Hospice provides free specialist palliative care services to eligible people with a terminal illness in the South and South East Auckland community, so Corinne Kennedy (Principal, Harcourts Blue Rock Realty Papakura & Karaka) led the charge in the decision to purchase a Shekel chair scale for the hospice.

Mrs Kennedy said, ‘The chair scales enable the staff in the Inpatient Unit to weigh patients, including those who are bedbound in a way that is comfortable for the patients and so it very important piece of equipment which allows patients to maintain their dignity’.

The Rising Foundation is the second lucky recipient of a donation. They are an organisation focussed on unlocking the potential of young people from the South Auckland community and through the Harcourts Foundation, Blue Rock Realty proudly supported the commitment to book 11 young people for their learners’ driving licence and 15 young people, aged 16-18 years old who have already obtained their learner licence for their restricted tests.

Mrs Kennedy continued, ‘Supporting young people in our community to gain road safety knowledge which in turn enables independence is of vital importance for those who may have felt at one time that they couldn’t achieve such a qualification.

Harcourts Blue Rock Realty is proud to support The Rising Foundation with a donation through the Harcourts Foundation to book 11 of our young people for their learners’ driving licence and 15 young people, aged 16-18 years old who have already obtained their learner licence for their restricted tests.
